A bit about me!

Writing has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I was consistently writing my own short stories before I entered Kindergarten and I wrote an entire 100 page manuscript at 12 years old.

I am a final year undergraduate student at the University at Buffalo, pursuing a BA in Communication and a minor in Sociology. I have worked in public relations, social media, marketing, and content development across a number of organizations including M&T Bank, the University at Buffalo, Say Yes Buffalo, and more,

Since 2019, I have been the recipient of several scholarships and awards for my writing abilities and journalism. In 2020, I received the University at Buffalo’s Division of University Communications Student Scholarship and in 2019 I received the Carl R. Allen scholarship as awarded by the Buffalo Association of Black Journalists for my contributions as an aspiring Black journalist in my city.

The events of 2020 and 2021 ignited a period of internal reflection for me as I’m sure it did for many of us. While navigating the global pandemic that spurred us into new ways of thinking, behaving, and processing life, I decided it was important that I return to the ambitions that feel most authentic to myself. I chose to embark on my most daring project yet; my first romance fiction novel. It was a true labor of love for me. My writing seeks to honor the imagination of my child self while expanding on the lessons, the love, and the aspirations that my adult self has experienced.
